Maybe just reiterate that something seems up, and then if she refuses to admit that, you can at least expand on your observations and why you think something is up. Ultimately, if she still refuses to talk about things, you have a binary choice to make. Tolerate it, or walk away.

Probably futile to discuss the health or ethics of it without first figuring out if people in the discussion share similar beliefs on what the meaning/purpose of life is.
Cuz if you’re talking to a nihilist who thinks it’s all shadows and dust at the end of the day, you’ll get a very different discussion that someone who thinks family and procreation are the point of life.
I like using it to help get the ball rolling on stuff and organizing my thoughts. Then I do the finer tweaking on my own. Basically I kinda use a sliding scale of the longer it takes me to refine an AI output for smaller and smaller improvements is what determines when I switch to manual.
Compassion fatigue is a thing. You can try for some Buddhist state of Nirvana that would likely take a lifetime to pursue… Or you can start curating your input. Stop doom scrolling, look for positive science news and the like. There’s plenty of positivity out there still, it’s just not algorithm friendly.

I know two people in my life with NPD. One person is capable about having conversations about how he impacts the group socially. The other has just been cut out of my life permanently for refusing to address his issues.
