It’s similar but different, but I grabbed an original legion go used for $550 and it’s the best money I’ve spent on tech.

Any chance this is related? https://www.npr.org/2025/01/03/nx-s1-5247840/net-neutrality-fcc-struck
That… would be interesting. I wonder how they would implement that, and what else they decide is worth that restriction. Curious to see it play out

More likely people will just install/update tiktok outside of Google play and apple store.
Quality over quantity
I see what you did there 🍑🚽
What I liked about tape and CD, is that it wasn’t too difficult to write/record. Before mp3s and filesharing, you could still make a copy, or a mixtape (playlist).
The main strength that physical media has, is that it is completely offline, it is physically at hand, and it can be obscure stuff you will never find online.
Would Call of Duty be the American equivalent?
I’ve been playing lots of Oxygen not Included, so… Yeah good luck, what could go wrong?
That’s not how it works.
The benefit is that by being standardized, there will be less proprietary cords and adapters. And the capability of USB-C should be adequate for sometime with the power and data transfer.
One issue, is that not all USBC cords are of the same quality. I found this recently when trying to find a cord that can be used for an external SSD, and video for a monitor. Some cords worked, the rest did not. All the cords could be used for charging, but after that, all bets are off.
Yep, offering more advanced graphics has always been a factor in gaming. But not the only one. I will never understand how much money a big company can spend, while ignoring the importance of writing, voice acting, and telling an impactful story.
I recently got Necesse and Oxygen not included. Each one has the potential for many many game hours.
Some of the game industry followed the movie format: make a visual masterpiece with barely a plot or purpose.
Unlike the movie crowd, gamers usually want more depth and fun. Personally, I’ve been grabbing indie games with simple/pixel graphics and great gameplay.

I had to look up “idpol” … which is a simplification of the division.
The left wants to include all the diversity of underrepresented minorities. The right wants to ignore or erase instead.
The process has both helped and hurt. I have known countless people who feel like they could come out and be themselves, in the hope that society had finally reached a level of acceptance. And now, the right has shown how much judgement and hate still thrives.
Yes, specifically I support open source projects. Give everyone more advanced technology, for better and worse.
This just reminds me I want to try https://grapheneos.org/
For context for those wondering wtf this is about… There is a very large number of employees/engineers from India, so much so that it has become the Intel workplace environment.
Anyone that collects your data could use it for many legal and illegal activities. If you see it only as marketing, you are not imagining the possibilities of stolen identity, fraud, blackmail, etc.
