Indeed.

But that’s not respecting the shareholders 😤

It might be initially, but they’ll figure out a way around it soon enough.
Remember those articles about “poisoning” images? Didn’t get very far on that either

Is nothing sacred anymore‽

switch permanently to AMD
So glad I switched to AM5 on my last main gaming rig rebuild last year lol

Not to doubt that it’s politically motivated, but the ban law as written could be applied to any app with a country of origin on the US “Foreign Adversary” list AND declared to be a national security issue

iGPUs suck ass, better than they’ve been in the past, but for gaming they’re still just what you use while you wait to get a dGPU

Nobody checks that these days, my signature is literally a line lmao

They lost it in CPUs, but I think they’re actually nailing it in GPUs though (for once(at least for the budget/entry level))

Screw ARM honestly, they don’t need any help. RISC-V though as the only open source of any significance, absolutely!

isn’t it just a mobile cell band at that point
Yes and no, it’s true it can get similar distance and somewhat similar data speeds as a cell tower
But, at 900MHz you don’t need a license to run it so you can do cool things, like a community WiFi mesh kinda like meshtastic, but with real speeds where hosting mesh-only websites and services become realistic

Americans: Got damn, asians are HOT
Chinese (apparently): Got damn, Americans are HOT
Humans gonna human ig LMAO

I knew it was coming since that article yesterday about us Americans posting vids of 3D printed guns lmao

Classic right-wing nut “You have to listen and like what I say or it’s CeNSOrShIp”

Right? I just hope the news outlets just put out one giant list of all the lawsuits that the new FTC drops instead of having a million "Trump’s FTC drops lawsuit against [company]

You’d be surprised at what your skin just… absorbs

Essentially yea, the laws enforcement mechanism as-is is just having the app delisted from app stores
Everything else is of TikToks own doing

It’s a .ml tankie, they only care because it’s a Chinese company, guaranteed if it was like a UK company or something they wouldn’t say a word about it lmao

That would go beyond the ban’s requirement for app stores to stop offering downloads of the app, but not immediately halt use of it.
Before the tankies get mad about the “censorship” of the US while failing to mention the LONG list of things you can get straight up arrested for in China
Most likely, they’ll just enforce it against businesses using it since they’re the cash cow as far as OpenAI, meta et all are concerned
